Practice the skills needed to assess an organization’s preparedness for transformation in this session, where participants will utilize assessment tools, learn key metrics for evaluating culture and leadership, and discover the impact of timing and communication on successful change.

This session will guide participants in diagnosing gaps in processes, resources, and readiness, while mastering strategies to manage resistance and foster buy-in through effective communication, training, and leadership.

  • Outline tools and methods that can be used to analyze gaps in processes, resources, or staff readiness in order to identify discrepancies between the current and the desired states.

  • Identify common sources of resistance (e.g., fear of change, loss of control) and strategies to address them.

  • Evaluate techniques for reducing resistance through communication, training, and leadership.

Implementing Your Proposed Action

In the final session, participants will learn to develop and execute actionable implementation plans, track progress, and adjust strategies to ensure successful change, with a focus on real-world applications like public health initiatives.

  • List steps to develop an actionable implementation plan, including timelines, resources, and role assignments.

  • Discuss techniques for tracking progress, identifying early signs of trouble, and adjusting plans as necessary.

  • Create an implementation plan for a public health change initiative, incorporating feedback loops for continuous improvement.
