Intimate Partner Violence: What is it? How can I help?

The Nevada Public Health Training Center and the University of Nevada School of Medicine present the Nevada Public Health ECHO Series. This Project ECHO will be presented by Judy Henderson who is the Training Coordinator at the Nevada Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence.

Judy Henderson is currently the training coordinator for the Nevada Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence (NCEDSV.) She is responsible for the supervision, implementation and evaluation of education strategies that support the mission of the Coalition. While working at NCEDSV, she has conducted over 200 presentations throughout Nevada. In 2015, Judy received national recognition for training dental providers through CDEWorld including the publication of an eBook on this topic. In 2016, Judy received the Stellar Educator Award from the Alliance for Victim’s Rights.

Judy's educational background includes two bachelor's degrees; Social Science Education and Sociology. In 1990, she earned her master's degree in Education Management from the University of LaVerne in California. She also was inducted into the Pi Lambda Theta, an International Education Honor Society.
 
The Nevada Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence supports advocacy-based organizations throughout Nevada by sharing resources to enhance service delivery and increase awareness of domestic and sexual violence issues by working with direct service providers, allied professionals and the general public.
